MLP cakes: Princess Celestia and Nightmare Moon

So, I’ve been watching the new My Little Pony(MLP) series on the suggestion of some friends. I grew up watching some of the movies when I was young, but was never a die hard fan. Due to its target audience, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is quite episodic with the exception of the first two episodes in Seasons 1 and 2. I really like the art style used in this show; it is simplistic and reminds me of flash the way it is drawn and animated. The series has a huge internet following and as a result the show has fans in various age groups. The show itself has been really supportive of its internet fandom such as using suggested names for miscellaneous ponies. Hasbro has not taken down episodes of the show from Youtube, which I believe might be a nod to its fanbase (knowing full well that they’ll probably make more from selling merchandise).

I’ve been pixelling avatar cakes for a while from when I used to visit Gaia Online a lot. I’ve take this old idea and mashed it up with the new My Little Pony series to give you… MLP cakes.

Below are Princess Celestia and Nightmare Moon :D

Happy Holidays

Having not done a drawing for aggesss, I signed up to a Santas Workshop in deviantART and drew this picture as a gift. There are still many things I dislike about this piece, but not bad for having not drawn in a while…

Self-portrait

After much faffing around, I’m just going to post this up. I’m relatively happy with it, though have no idea why anyone else would be interested in seeing my face. *shrugs*

Watercolour: Save me

Been a while since I’ve done any arting, especially with traditional media, so a couple of days ago, I took out the paints and finished a conceptualised piece I sketched in my sketch book ages ago. Finished with colouring pencils, iridescent material and salt.

Vector Art: Where does Soya Milk come from?

Quite a while back, I was having a discussion with a friend, over one of my other artwork, Tofu is not a fruit. We started passing ideas back and forth and he came up with this very whimsical sketch. Taking the piece of paper, I promised I would digitise it for him. Read more
