Doodles in sketchpad

Sketching whilst bored

I'm sure almost everyone has done this at some point in their lives. You're bored at a meeting or trying to think of somewhere else you'd rather be. You have your sketchbook or a piece of paper ready at hand and armed with a writing implement, you begin to make random scratches onto the white surface.

I have a notebook from Paperchase where each corner of the page has a collection of decorate stars. Since this is the notebook I use for work, you can probably guess that on the occasional day where I'm stuck for idea, I tend to scribble in it. Chance would have it that I scribble over these stars as it's one portion of the notebook I can't make any useful notes in.

Here is a collection of my scribblings:

It has now become some sort of challenge to come up with something different each time I scribble. I'm pretty sure this is good for getting my creative juices going.

What do you think? Have you got any interesting sketches to share?
